I was born and raised in the Netherlands, where crossing borders was part of everyday life. My mother was from Vienna, Austria, and I spent much of my childhood exploring Europe with a local’s curiosity.
After visiting 55 countries, including a four-month overland journey from the Netherlands to Kenya, I learned something important: the best travel moments often feel spontaneous, but the logistics behind them need to be carefully planned.
